Monument to Transformation is an interdisciplinary environment (art, humanities, economic and natural science theories). It is a permanent exhibition of art objects, archives, theoretic texts and spoken forms (both live and archived), which grows with time. It has an ambition to be a subjective museum whole relating to the individual processes of transformation. It is important for us to work by an inductive means and to formulate general issues on the basis of individual testimonies and definitions. It is a permanent exhibition that constantly questions its formal appearance, which is located in Prague and has been expanding since 2006. - - |
For the first 7 months of its existence, Monument to Transformation has devoted its time to the study of different artistic and scientific methodologies relating present with past and future. While stressing the material side of its own existence, Monument to Transformation have rented a space to secure the continual material development of the installation in time. - - Coming from the secured space situation they have developed time limited “fragments” that are becoming exhibition installations in different spaces. Each external extension called “installation model no. ∞ “has a different shape and involves different artists, theoretical participants, objects.” Each fragment is a new addition to the growing installation of Monument to Transformation and each exhibition becomes a part of it. |
